This new venture was created by brothers, John & Adam Antinone, born & raised San Diegans with a passion for the game of golf. They grew up in a golfing family, both taking up the game at a very young age. While the brothers played a variety sports growing up, they always kept a keen eye playing golf with their parents, grandparents, uncles & aunts, friends and well… John & Adam love the game of golf and enjoying it with people of all ages and abilities. This is one of the things that makes golf such a wonderful sport and a big reason why golf is growing by leaps and bounds. John & Adam are both established golfers that carry single digit handicaps. While always striving to improve their game, they make a concerted effort to not take themselves too seriously and have fun playing the game they love.

Dialed Indoor Golf was originally the idea of older brother John, but Adam quickly latched onto the concept once seeing his brother’s business plan and burning desire to make this dream of owning a golf facility a reality. Prior to starting their own vision, the brothers visited many a golf simulator to identify what aspects they liked as well as what facets they felt could be better. They considered adopting a franchise model, although running a playbook of someone else’s has never been in their DNA. What John & Adam liked and wanted were large hitting bays that made others feel undersized, 15+ foot warehouse-height ceilings to create an open & airy feel, private bays not close or even visible to the other, and the cutting-edge golf simulator technology that is future-proofed.

Next, the search was on to find the ideal location… Light industrial space that offered the perfect blank canvas for their vision while staying within their budget, and a location within close proximity to upscale residential neighborhoods that is sure to have a high concentration of passionate golfers. After searching high and low, the Antinone Brothers were able to secure a space that checked all of their boxes. The abandoned warehouse space needed a lot of work, but it was easily visible from people driving by on a busy road and the dimensions set up just about perfect for two spacious simulator suites, golfer’s lounge area, and a private restroom. The warehouse space also had room for an office that they could work from during the day as full-time Realtors. The Antinone Brother have been helping buyers and sellers for the past 20+ years under their boutique real estate brokerage, Antinone Real Estate.

John & Adam have painstakingly built something that they are extremely proud of and excited to share with the local golf community. While there is a good chance you’ll run into one of the Antinone Brothers when you visit, Dialed Indoor Golf was designed as an unmanned golf venue. The facility is heavily automated, with a keypad to open the electrified front door, software that starts up the simulators with the touch of a button, and 24/7 monitoring to keep the facility and equipment secure. Customers book their tee time online with a credit card, get an automatic confirmation via text, and an access code to enter the facility 15 minutes before their scheduled tee time. The simulators are designed to shut down when the golfer’s allotted time is up and even provides an opportunity to extend their time if there is nobody booked ahead of them.

The Antinone Bros spent a great deal of time researching the technology that would be the heart of the indoor golf facility. After much consideration, they chose a combination of oversized custom, commercial grade enclosures from Carl’s Place with premium impact screens, ProTee VX overhead launch monitors running GS Pro simulator software, BenQ 4K laser projectors mounted to the rear of the enclosure, high performance gaming computers from Carlsbad Gaming PC, and professional grade putting turf with recessed foam hitting strips. The simulator suites measure 17’ wide by 25’ deep by 10’ tall to create an open, yet immersive experience. Each simulator suite has three screens… a 27” PC monitor to mirror the massive 17’x10’ impact screens, a dedicated 43” TV monitor reserved exclusively for swing metrics, club video & stats, and another dedicated 43” TV for entertainment if you want to put on the game or watch last week’s PGA event. At the rear of each suite is also a comfortable lounge area complete with sofa, bar with bar stools, and a private mini refrigerator with complimentary water & sodas. Nothing was overlooked with hopes of providing a space and experience that is cutting-edge in terms of technology and so comfortable that you won’t want to leave your simulator suite.

To add to the comfort of the suite and encourage a warm and social atmosphere, John and Adam designed an inviting space that members and guests can hang out before and after their golf sessions. The lounge offers comfortable seating where golfers can talk about what they’ve been working on in their quest to get their game totally ‘dialed-in’, what fun golf course they found on GS Pro, or that incredible shot they hit that almost went in the hole. The lounge also features three flat screen TV’s to watch live sporting events, including a massive 85” TV that makes you feel like you are in the stadium or beyond the ropes, a tablet that controls the Sonos speakers and Spotify music you can play throughout the facility or in each suite, a mini fridge stocked with cool drinks, an ice machine to make them even cooler, more bar seating and a custom made bag rack to organize your golf clubs.

Dialed Indoor Golf is now open and the initial feedback from customers has been incredible. The brother’s plan is to be fully member based in the not too distant future, but public tee times are now being offered during limited hours while the word is still getting out about this phenomenal golf simulator experience. John and Adam wanted to make membership an easy decision, so they are offering 50 founding memberships for $50 per month. Members benefits include $25 off the hourly rate ($20-$40 per hour for up to four golfers vs $45-$65 per hour), extended access hours to the facility (6:00AM until 11:00PM, 7 days a week), and advanced access to the most desirable time slots. As Dialed Indoor Golf grows, John and Adam envision a full membership with a waiting list to get in, lessons available from talented teaching pros, golf league nights, tournaments that revolve around tourneys like The Masters, Open Championship, and Ryder Cup, special member events, club fitting days, and more.
