Every new league eventually makes its first trade, the moment it stops feeling like an experiment and starts behaving like a sport. TGL, the simulator-and-green format co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, got there on October 19, 2026, and the deal arrived with a storyline built for television. McIlroy, the captain of Boston Common Golf, has pulled his longtime friend Shane Lowry away from The Bay. The headline is simple. The details are more interesting, because the price, the process behind it and even some of the early reporting deserve a closer look. Here’s what happened, what’s actually new about how TGL builds rosters, and what to watch before the third season begins in December. The Trade, Explained Boston Common Golf said Monday it had completed a deal for Lowry, the 2019 Open champion, who moves over from The Bay, and its official release bills the move as TGL’s first-ever trade.…

Photo credits to GOLFZON Executive appointments usually land with all the excitement of a printer jam. A name, a title, a quote about momentum, and everyone moves on. Every so often, though, a hire works more like a map. The way a company staffs itself shows you where it thinks the road is headed, and GOLFZON America’s newest addition is one of those cases. In late September, the simulator maker named Lisa Fahey president of its U.S. arm, and the timing says as much as the résumé does. Here’s what happened, who she is, what the company has been building around her, and the questions worth watching as she settles in. What Was Announced The news surfaced on September 29, 2026, when SGB Media reported that the Korea-based simulator company had tapped Fahey for the top U.S. operating role. The company’s own announcement, carried by Golf Business News on October 1, fills in the…

Photo credits to Trackman Here is a fun bit of golf tech trivia. The company behind the little orange box that lives on every tour range spent years building its reputation outdoors, then watched a whole generation of golfers move their practice into garages and basements. In September 2023, TrackMan finally answered with the iO, its first launch monitor built specifically for indoor golf, and it chose to mount it where overhead rivals like Uneekor’s EYE XO2 had already set up shop: on the ceiling. So three years on, what is actually new here, and what is just TrackMan joining the party? (A fair question, because the word “new” in this article’s title deserves some honesty. The iO is not a 2026 product. It’s a 2023 product that is still shaping how people shop for ceiling-mounted systems.) Let’s compare. A Company That Learned to Look Up TrackMan was founded in…

Image credit: Shutterstock Okay, I need you to picture a golf green that spins. Not metaphorically, actually physically rotates 360 degrees while five stories of simulator screen loom over it, and instead of four quiet days at a major, you get three players per side going head to head in a two hour, primetime, arena style match with music blasting and a crowd of 1,500 people close enough to feel it. That’s not a fantasy sketch, that is literally what’s launching this November, and it’s the women’s game finally getting the version of TGL that fans have been asking for since the very first TGL broadcast. WTGL is real, it’s fully staffed with rosters, it has a broadcast schedule locked down across three networks, and it kicks off on Sunday, November 8. Here’s absolutely everything worth knowing before it does. What WTGL Actually Is WTGL stands for the Women’s TMRW…

Picture this. It’s 11:40 at night. You just left a work dinner that ran long, you are still wound up, and every driving range within twenty miles has been dark for hours. A few years ago that would have been the end of your golf day. Now you pull up an app, tap a bay that’s free at your local simulator lounge, punch in a door code, and you are hitting balls at midnight with absolutely nobody there to stop you. No front desk. No “sorry, we close at nine.” Just you, a launch monitor, and however many buckets of range balls your patience can handle. That scene is becoming completely normal, and it’s happening faster than almost anyone in the indoor golf world expected. The unmanned, 24/7 simulator bay is having a real moment, and once you see why it works, it’s honestly hard to imagine the old staffed…

Image credits to GOLFZON Tour If you have spent any time in a GOLFZON bay this year, you already know the vibe. Someone is grinding out a solo round after work, another group is three drinks deep and laughing their way through a scramble, and somewhere in the mix there is always that one person quietly posting a score that makes everyone else glance over. Well, starting September 1, 2026, that quiet grinder has a real reason to keep grinding. GOLFZON Tour Season 3 individual qualifying is officially open, and for the next month, one good round could change your whole indoor golf season. Let’s get into what this actually is, why it matters more than you might think, and how you, an everyday sim golfer with zero handicap on file and maybe a home simulator dream you have not built yet, can get in on it. What Is the…

The FlightScope Mevo+ is in an interesting spot right now. FlightScope is winding down sales of the Mevo+ and replacing it with the newer Mevo Gen2. Normally, that would make me hesitant to recommend buying older launch monitor hardware. At $1,099, though, the Mevo+ deserves a serious look. You’re getting a radar-based launch monitor with a large amount of ball and club data, indoor and outdoor use, golf simulator support, and no required annual FlightScope subscription for the basic functionality. There are some catches. The Mevo+ needs considerably more room than a camera-based launch monitor. The battery and Micro-USB charging system feel dated. Short-game performance can be more demanding to set up correctly. And because this is remaining inventory, I’d verify exactly what you’re getting before ordering. If your room works for it, however, I think the current price makes the Mevo+ one of the more interesting launch monitor deals…
